With click on download you receive a setup file (SimNeuronSetup_x.y.z.msi). Opening this file will guide you through a short setup procedure.
If this is your first installation of SimNeuron, a new folder SimNeuron will be created on your hard disk. Just following the set-up procedure, also accepting the proposed path, SimNeuron will be installed in a subfolder ViPhy in your program folder (C:\Program Files\ViPhy, C:\Programme\ViPhy\ or similar, depending to your Windows version and selected language).
Please note: The folder ViPhy will be generated on first installation of any one of the Virtual Physiology programs. Hence, in the subfolder ViPhy you will find the SimNeuron folder and the folders of all other Virtual Physiology programs that you have installed so far.
In case that you are installing an update while the SimNeuron folder already exists, the previous files in the SimNeuron folder will be replaced by the new ones. The license file is thereby NOT changed and is valid also for the new version.
IMPORTANT: Please check the “Readme” file and the file “SimNeuron Presettings Info”. The SimNeuron folder contains several subfolders and the executable program SimNeuron.exe as well as diverse files, including the “Readme” file and the file “SimNeuron Presettings Info”. The “Readme” file will give you more information how SimNeuron is arranged. The file “SimNeuron Presettings Info” will provide important information about the specific feature of SimNeuron.
